I think they should have set bonuses e.g. you need FULL glads to get the energy bonus, full knights to get the absorb etc.

I mean at the moment you could wear Glads ,Knights boots, leutenants helm and youl look like shit but youl have ahell of alot more bonuses than wearing the full set.

It depends upon whether PvP will have access to both of the armour types regardless of which campaign you bought. I'm thinking they will. If that's the case, there is balance in their minds because PvP is balanced.

If you're talking about competitive missions in Factions, well a Prophecies-only character isn't going to be there anyways, so only those with Factions (combined or not) will be there and will have access to the same armour.

If you take into consideration farming, and if the sets of armour allow certain characters to farm better than others of similar skill level, then yeah its unbalanced in the economical (game-wise) sense. I don't know how far they will go to keep that balanced, though (other than major disruptions).

heh, I wear desert Collector's armour, which is absolutely, entirely inferior to Gladiator's (glads without the energy). I stand out in the upper-level areas :-) I also have a full set of plate (I have a pet hog, so the breastplate fits) and a full set of Knights.. I like to wear the collector's though.

as far as the gladiator's armour, the 1.5k one makes me wanna start singing YMCA by the village people. as for the 15k armour, we call that thing on the shoulder the Clothes Hanger. I had glads armour for one full day (even enjoyed the energy) on my PvE character before I salvaged it and bought other armour. If I'm playing a roleplaying game and I don't like the look of something I'm not going to stick with it for the numerical advantage (well, maybe...but not in extreme cases like this).. lol :-)

Yea I don't necessarily wear a Armor SET per say, I do a good bit of mix and matching... For instance the Canthan 1.5 monk armor... The Luxon chest, with the rest Standard Cantan looked really cool, and had a modest energy bonus. But if I did some mixing and matching I could have potential had energy and More armor... Same with the FoW set. not many get the full set, just the chest piece. If its cosmetics you want, well OK I see your issue. but when I'm playing PvP I could care less what I'm wearing. I use what makes my build work best. period. same with PvE actually... IN towns maybe I have some "Costume" armors. Like holiday hats and such. but still. That's a pretty minor issue in reality. In any case I think I see what you guys want now. you just want everything to be the same with different skin options. 1.5 does this, and 15k does this, and fissure does that. but with different skins for each option. OK.. Well... if it happens so be it. Its not that big a deal to me.

platemail used to be even worse than 85+10

those are my old boots bought shortly after release. if they change platemail again, i hope they change existing armor as well this time, or some fissure armor ppl will be really angry.
